Removing Parts from Runners

We will now discuss on how to properly remove parts from the runners. Wait.. What are runners you say?

Runners are basically the plastic that holds the parts that you need. And the Sprues are the thin plastic gap between the Part and the Runner. So basically, the Sprue is the part where we want to cut. So, how do we cut it exactly? Like this

I know some of you will be thinking "Why not just cut as close to the part as possible? That'll save me more time!" I wouldn't recommend that. Remember, we want to build our Gunpla as clean as possible. If we did cut that close, there would be the possibility of stress marks showing on the part where you cut, and these stress marks are almost always irreversible. I'll show you what stress marks are later.
So now that we know where to cut, just take your Side Cutters and place it firmly on the sprue AS FAR FROM
THE PART AS POSSIBLE like here

As you can see, there's a significant distance between the part and the sprue thus we can avoid any unnecessary stress marks to the Part we need.
But what about parts that have very short sprues? My Side Cutters won't fit and I'm afraid I might damage the Part I need! Well, we have a solution to that. Just take your Hobby Knife, firmly place it on the sprue once again maintaining distance from the Part, and just gently and slowly start cutting the sprue like so

Since you're using a Hobby Knife, once again I advise you to be very careful and not to cut your fingers.
Just continue cutting the sprues using your Side Cutters or Hobby Knife and your Part will then be free~ Oh sweet freedom to the Part~

"W.. Wait a minute.. It.. It looks ugly?! What are these? Ukyo, why you lie to me?!" Fear not! In the next tutorial, we'll be taking care of those pesky so called Nubs
